So it came about when my frustration over not "winning" some of Sheila's stuff I've been eyeing in her past collections got the best of me that I started thrift-ing again.

Now thrifting isn't really new to me, I do it once in a while when I'm in the mood for some unique vintage fashion. But it became more frequent recently, and soon, I've collected more stuff than I could wear. It was inside a thrift shop in Cubao-X two weeks ago when, failing to limit myself to just a few pieces, I decided to let my guards down and hoard all the pieces that captured my fancy and just think about what to do with them later on. :P

For what it's worth, I have to give it to them -- Theonlyukayqueen, Sheila of Inthefishbowl, and Lauren and Liz of Ukay Manila -- who are some of the pioneers of this online thrifting business. What they're doing is impossible without passion. No, really. It's not easy finding quality pieces in an ukay store. I should know how much time it takes to come up with a collection, not to mention the effort having the clothes cleaned up, and taken photos of.

The past two weeks coming up with my first collection is toxic! Then again, however time-consuming it was, I found myself really enjoying the process. ;)

Opening up an online shop/boutique has always been a dream, I've always wanted to come up with collections of vintage pieces to sell online. And I think it does make sense that thrift shops are the places to go when you want to find unique vintage stuff.

So, without further ado, TheDreamerie Online Boutique now opens with some unique thrifted pieces. In the future, however, the shop will not only feature vintage collections but brand new dresses and accessories I find here and there as well. Enjoy shopping! :)
